PLEDGE
For too long the creative industry had been guilty of paying interns too little, and keeping them on for too long as a cheap source of labour.
So since 2015 we’ve set out to improve that.
We’ve currently got 88 agencies across the UK officially signed up to pay at least the UK Living Wage or London Living Wage.
EVERY AGENCY ON THE PLEDGE HAS AGREED THAT AS OF JAN 2024:
They will pay their interns/placements on a rolling or fixed-term contract at least the Living Wage – currently £13.15ph in London and £12ph across the UK.
After three months of being on a rolling contract it will revert to a freelance rate of at least £150 a day.
